Conversations of a Watchman : Prayers to Frame your Prophetic Destiny

“A practical guide that can be used for intercession and effective prayer”

Conversations of a Watchman: Prayers to Frame Your Prophetic Destiny is a clarion call to believers.

“Will you stand in the gap and intercede or will you give up on others and yourself? “

From the moment I started to read K.E. Allen’s “Conversation of a Watchman: Prayers to Frame Your Prophetic Destiny”, my spirit identified with the words and tears rolled down my face.

I could literally see the Lord standing on a rooftop asking the questions that were posed in the book.

Will you answer the call to intercede for others?

Will you be the one to convince God to show mercy as Moses did?

Will you be the one to pray for your nation to experience true deliverance?

How long are you willing to intercede until you see Christ born in others?

Author K. E. Allen breaks down the scriptures in Conversations of a Watchman: Prayers to Frame your Prophetic Destiny in order to show the readers how to pray past the selfish, one dimensional prayers that go unanswered.

After reading this book you will have the tools to intercede on behalf of others until manifestation is revealed and prayers are answered. You will also discover the secret to building a deeper, more intimate prayer life with our Heavenly Father.

The author takes us on a journey of utilizing our authority, as children of the most high God. K.E. Allen doesn’t just tell us to pray, she provides the correct words to say in prayer.

About the Book:
How does a person move from a place deficient of light?  How can an individual shift from a place of complete and utter chaos, obscurity, apathy, and adversity?  The pathway to transformation is through in-depth conversations with the One True God of Creation–El·?·h?m’.  For you to move to a place of prophetic providence, your conversation must be divinely inspired.  Hebrews 11:3 states: “The worlds were framed by the Word of God.”  Framing begins with an idea, expands as a result of the imagination, and gives life through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit through divine utterance for a specific purpose.  Declaring the Word of God releases the creative power of God for authentic transformation.

K. E. Allen designed this book to draw you into a deeper conversation with the Father to renew your prayer life, mend your brokenness, enlighten your pathway, and arrange your chaos according to the divine order of God.

Excerpt:

WHO IS THE WATCHMAN?

The watchman is responsible for framing prophetic destiny

spoken by the council of God. The watchman’s anointing allows

one to perceive accurately the enemy approaching from a distance to

warn the people of God of the plots and plans of the enemy.

(Ezekiel 33:1-6).

As one matures and develops a disciplined prayer life, prayer

becomes a conversation based on God’s covenant, God’s heart,

God’s mind, and God’s purpose. God and His purpose are the center

and focus of every dialogue. Essentially, prayer is an exchange of

ideas about His purpose pertaining to one’s family, ministry,

business, community, and nation. This is the key to successful

prayer–exchanging self generated thoughts for God’s thoughts.

When one prays apart from God’s desires, there is no guarantee of

answered prayers. The assurance comes when one’s desires align

with His. Asking according to His will cultivates the confidence that

He hears, He answers (1 John 5:14-15), and He is faithful.

Understanding God’s authenticity facilitates a deeper level of

conversation based on relationship.

Many people don’t know where to turn in the midst of their storm. We tell them to read the Bible, and that’s what they need to do, but where do they go in the Bible? I can remember when I would go to the bible and it was just words. I didn’t know where to go nor what story or scriptures to read. It was just “Thou, Art ,begat, Mennonites,” and many other words I didn’t understand nor could pronounce. ~ Nicole Cleveland, Founder of Breathe Again Magazine

Scripture: The poor and needy seek water, but there is none, Their tongues fail for thirst . I, the Lord will hear them; I  the Lord of Israel, will not forsake them.  Isaiah 41:17

This scripture reminds me of a time in my life when, I lost everything …..my home , my marriage , a couple of close friends made their transition, I had lost a baby and my Dad made his transition, I was overwhelmed!  To say the least, I knew that GOD was allowing these things to happen for a reason, I just did not know what his plan was for my life at the time.

I was poor and needy, I sought after GOD’s face day and night… I cried out to him in desperation at times when the burden seem too much to bare.  It was through this tough time that I developed an intimate relationship with GOD!  He had my full attention, I humbled myself under his loving care and he did just that, he took care of me and my sons. I suffered at the hand s of many who mocked and spoke evil against me… I did not take it personally because GOD helped me understand why they said and did the things they did.

He helped me understand that they too needed an intimate relationship with him ,and that their time had not yet come. It was my time and I had to walk that road… but I did not walk it alone… GOD was right there with me every step of the way.

Encouragement: If you are in a real struggle now and it seems as if there is no way out, if you are feeling overwhelmed and confused… know that today you have a Savior who has promised never to leave you or forsake you!  He did it for me and He will do it for you! GBU!

Scripture:  Matthew 6:31-33

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?  (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

This scripture truly ministers to me daily because it takes even our most basic needs and lets us know that no matter what the need, no matter the situation, no matter what it looks like, if God has cared for inanimate objects like the lilies and made sure that the sun shone and the rain fell to water them and allowed them to thrive and grow to show off its beauty, that He will see to our needs as well, providing we seek the Kingdom of God first. The blessing in this scripture is all we have to do is seek Him and all this things we need will be taken care of for us by Him. What a beautiful sentiment to know that our Heavenly Father truly has it all under control.

Encouragement:  No matter how dark the days, never let your love for God waiver. God loves us so much that He will not see His children in need and not meet those needs. As believers God’s provisions for us is a powerful testimony and it can be your testimony too if you allow your faith to stand long enough to receive it.

Scripture: Proverbs 3:3-5

The darkest time in my life was several years ago when my 19-year-old daughter left home after we’d had an exchange of words. Her baby’s father was present and my last words to her before she left were, if you don’t want to follow the rules of this house, go someplace where there are no rules. She did exactly that.

Days later I was able to confirm that my daughter had taken the baby to live with her boyfriend, also 19 and his mom. Each time she visited I felt as though my heart would literally break. Morning after morning I arose early to pray, read the Bible and to journal.

One day, about four months after they left, I came home from an errand and I saw a large pile of my daughter’s things stacked in my breakfast nook – but she wasn’t there. She and the boyfriend were visiting his grandfather in the hospital. They had NOT broken up, but she told us she knew it was time to return. This had been a real life Prodigal Son experience for me. The Lord had answered my prayers and brought my children back home. Now my daughter is working and going to school part time, the little girl who was a baby is now a bright, healthy 8-year-old who loves math and acting. The Lord brought it to pass.

Post Script: The boyfriend? Tragically, he was shot and died 3 days before his daughter turned two.

Encouragement:   If you have a “prodigal” son or daughter, keep them before the Lord in prayer. Be diligent in praying for them. Let them know that you love them and they can return home – if they are willing to abide by the rules of your home.

Scripture: Romans 8:28 “All things work for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purposes.”

There is not one hurt we experience that God does not see, not one. There is not one time when tears don’t stream down His face, as He sees his children broken-hearted. But we know that all things – every hurt, brokenness, abuse, financial sorrow, or parenting woe – will one day be used for His glory.

My journey through homelessness, severe abuse, multiple teen pregnancies, and poverty left be hopeless for a season. But the Word of God restored my strength. His word is true. It restores, refreshes, and rejuvenates. I am thankful for every part of my story, because it has afforded me the opportunity to minister to thousands who know that only God could have redeemed this once broken soul.

Encouragement: God’s word is true and it doesn’t matter how you feel. Your feelings are temporary. He will restore you and mount you up on wings like eagles one day. He mourns with you. He aches in your sorrow. But each valley you endure will develop for you a testimony for which only our Heavenly Father can take credit!

Are you Encouraged?

Be Encouraged!!

There was a song I used to listen to several years back.

The words were… Be Encouraged – No Matter What’s Going On — He’ll Make it Alright by William Becton & Friends.

This past week we launched the 21 Day Encouragement Campaign. For 21 days you will hear from men and women of faith that have gone from victim to VICTORIOUS! They will share how they survived and what encouraged them to keep going. To sign up for the 21 day series click here.

The word of God tells us that “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging” (Psalms 46:1-3)

Do you believe that? We read the words in the bible, we jump, shout and get all “emotional” but do we really believe that GOD is an ever present help in the time of trouble.

If we were completely honest, most of us would say No. That doesn’t make you “unsaved” or a bad person. It makes you human. There is a story in the bible where a father brought his son to Jesus to be healed.

(Mark 9:17-24) The father said he believed, but he also asked Jesus “To help his unbelief”. We all have a measure of faith. You are no different and don’t beat yourself up if you don’t have SUPER Faith. You are still growing in his word. Stay rooted and grounded in the word of God and watch how your faith grows. What you thought was impossible will be a reality because of your faith in God and what he has already done for you. Will it happen overnight? I would have to say No, but it will happen.

You may be asking, “Well, how did you grow your faith, Nicole?” Please don’t think I have arrived on Super Faith Street. My faith is continually growing. He is still working on me.

Pastor Cliff Coward of Agape International Ministries Worldwide teaches that faith cometh by hearing and hearing and hearing and hearing.
You have got to hear the word as well as read the word.

Below are 3 ways I continue to grow my faith.

1. Listen to the word of God being taught (not just on Sundays)
2. Study the word of God for myself  (daily)
3. Building my Spiritual Resume – reviewing what God has already done for me.
If he did it then, surely he will do what I need him to do today.

Be Encouraged !

Stay Blessed,

Scripture:  Genesis 1:1a “In the beginning God created…”

Those 5 words found at the very beginning of the Bible provided me so much hope. It says so much. I am comforted in knowing first and foremost that God is and was there in the beginning. I lived through so much. Including: the loss of my grandfather, being hit by a car, 3 rapes, years of domestic violence, an at times emotionally abusive father, the loss of my father on my birthday in 2005, a serious car accident resulting in a broken vertebrae and a spinal cord injury followed by another car accident, and being a single mother of 2 sons (one of which is chronically ill). That was not all I went through either. But, in every moment I found comfort in knowing God was there from the very beginning. Never alone, I did not have to wait for God to “show up.” I did not need to ask Him to “enter the situation.’ He was there from the beginning.

While God was there, He was not just standing around doing nothing. He was not watching me suffer. God, instead, is standing in the midst creating. When others saw nothing…God created! When others defined me as nothing…God created! When I thought all there was in life was darkness and despair…God created light, hope, power, comfort, refreshing, filling, and so on. God not only created me, He created what I need to survive and subsequently survive survival. For every need, want, and desire…God is constantly creating…from the very beginning.

Encouragement:  Do not become crippled by discouragement over what you feel (loneliness and emptiness), see (darkness and difficulty), or hear (negativity or silence). God is there, and will always be there creating what you need when you need it. He does not create based on what you or others see; God creates based on the purpose He had for your
life when He created YOU. “You are no longer a product of your past; you are a facilitator of your future!” God created a future for you!

Scripture: Genesis 1:26-27

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them”

This scripture speaks volumes in regards to my purpose and destiny. When one understands God has given them dominion over everything in the earth they become unstoppable. It is important to note that you are a solution to a problem in the earth.

Encouragement:  Doesn’t matter how long you have had a problem, when the solution(Jesus Christ) comes your way. You will never be able to master your problems until you have failed at becoming a victim of them. Godly dominion has been given to you before you were born into a problem!
